How do you shrink cotton dress?
Question:It says handwash only because it has crochet design but it's 100% cotton..the top part is loose though..what would be the way to shrink? I have gentle cycle on my washer. this is the dress: http://www2.victoriassecret.com/commerce...

I would use the gentle cycle of your washing machine. Allow the dress to air dry..if it's still not the size you want it to be...put it in the dryer...you may have to use a steam iron to flatten any decorative crochet. make sure you place a light colored towel over the dress while steam ironing.
put it in the wash twice in a row let it dry out before you stick it in th wash again-smiley
Um..wash it in hot water and dry on high in the dryer...
just soak it in water over night and the nest day just mash it properly and dry... it would be fine. and if the starch still remains there then repeat the procedure.
