How do i remove old set coffee stains in my coffee pot?

Question:a friend gave me her old coffee pot it works great but it just has alot of old set in coffee stains does ne one know how to clean this up?

Answers:
Soak it in vinegar. If you are in a real hurry, bleach will work.

Scrub with hot soapy water and then they sell this cleaner at the store to clean the pot, you run it through the coffee pot.

If the stains are still there, go buy a new one :)
I think I bought mine was 20 bucks!
Vinegar works great. I actually will add a little vinegar to the water and run it through the pot a few times and then run it a few times with clear water also.
I agree with the vinegar and the bleach but there is a product called barkeeper's friend if you can find it. Its like ajax, comet or dutch cleanser but much better. I don't know whats in it but it cleans stains like nobody's business.
