We had a fire in our home. What is the best way to remove smoke odors and stains from clothing?

Question:Smoke odor removal.
Smoke stain removal.
Home fire cleanup.

Answers:
Almost 4 years ago we had a house fire. I used Febreeze Laundry Odor Eliminator and saved most of our clothing. That stuff really works! Some heavy things, like sweaters, needed a second wash.
It's rather expensive, but still cheaper than buying all new clothes.

I know this because it happened to me. I cleaned the clothes like normal but I added a cup of baking soda to each load of laundry. Baking soda is a natural odor elematior and it won't harm your clothes.
