What is the best way to remove mud stains from a shirt?

Question:i left school today and had to run through the woods on the way back (its like a prison; they have security guards that dont let ppl back in if they leave) i got some mud flicks on my white polo shirt its not bad just some flicks ( its river mud the smelly kind in swamps).. and i also stained it a little with some sauce from a burger at fudruckers any ideas on how to clean them off???

Answers:
Run cold water on the mud & burger sauce stain & rub until the stains are out or nearly all out. Add some Dawn dish soap to the spots & rub lightly, while holding it under the cold water. Era laundry detergent is another great stain remover also, but the Dawn should work well. You can also spray Windex or Dollar Store window cleaner on the mud & sauce stain, along with the Dawn & it should remove the stains nicely. Wash it in the washing machine with detergent & cool water. Don't dry the shirt if the stains are still visible, re apply the Dawn & Windex.

You can go to Walmart and get a product called Greased Lighting. This stuff even gets out blood and grass stains as well as mud and hard to get out stains like tomato stains. I have used this product many times on my clothing and it works great. Good luck
Soak it in cool water with detergent. Then after it has soaked a little while periodically scrub the spots.

Why are you leaving school? To eat at Fudruckers?
