What is the best way to clean a microwave?
Question:We have a built in microwave and it is so hard to clean.
Just wondering if anyone (a women) has any good tips.
Or a man if he cleans well...

Water and vinegar. I use a measuring cup almost full of water in there and add a little bit of vinegar. Heat in the microwave until boiling. Remove and wipe clean. This process loosens up the baked on food particles. You may need to repeat if it is awful!
Put in a bowl of water and boil it in the microwave, it puts moisture into the micorwave, then remove the bowl and dump your bowl. you will then have anything baked on softened and loosen up so you can wipe it out.

I always use 409. Spray the microwave down and walk away. Go do something else for about 20 min. Come back and wipe it clean. It works great and no scrubbing required.

I clean homes p/t, and you do NOT put chemical spray cleaners in a microwave, period! Someone answered you and said they use 409. NEVER! You cannot get cleaners completely out of a microwave, plus it will make your food taste lousy, and you might get sick. I use vinegar & water, you can keep it in a bowl and heat it like others said, to remove the buildup of stuck on food. Thanks.
What I do is similar to what others have already said...I place a bowl of water, but I put lemon juice in it. That way, it helps with grease AND it smells pretty darn nice once it comes out. :) I also use a de-greaser on the outside to remove any stains that won't come off from spills or fingerprints, etc. I take a sponge or rag and wipe the inside out after I put the water going for like 5 minutes. It comes right off...it is such a cinch! No scrubbing at all! :) Hope this helps!
you can use household cleaner then wipe it down with warm water or they sell Microwave cleaner in the stores especially for microwaves.
