I found bugs in my mop today. What could theybe?
Question:When I put the mop into hot water, four black dead bugs were floatong in the water. They looked like they had shield on there back with loke texturized lines down them. What could they be?

I see those bugs in my bathroom from time to time, I think they are silver fish. They like damp places to hide,so I assume that's what might be in your mop...=)

they are premature lady bugs...
the remedy for this small infaction of the lady bug,YOU MUST STOP PUTTING YOUR MOP OUTSIDE...this causes the lady bug to drive them to the mop for moisture and to cool off.
They are earwigs. They love damp dark places. They are ugly and pesky, but not harmful. If you keep your mop out on a porch - try drying it as best as you can and keep it in a closet in the house.
