The temperature settings for the stove and oven knobs have been wiped off, how can I replace them?

Question:The temperature settings on the front of the stove around the knobs has been worn away, how can I replace them, is there a template or paint I can use?

Answers:
Depending on the brand the best bet is to look for a local repair store.

You can also try this website: http://www.partselect.com/locate-parts.a...

To install, pull off old knobs, clean with a mild detergent and push on new knob. Be careful to make sure the "Off" labels are in the right spot.

Good Luck!

Do not paint them on.
It is very unsafe and you shouldn't cook your food without the correct settings. If worse comes to worse buy a oven thermometer that sticks to the inside of the oven until you can replace your knobs.
First you need to look under the cook top for the manufacturer name and model number. It might also be on the side of the oven door.
1.Then you can call local shops that supply electrical items 2.You can do a web search for your make and model and see if anyone on the web as them for sell.
3.Contact the manufacturer and see if you can get them free/buy them.
Also if you list in on here I'm sure we can find something for you. Good luck!
