Mould/Mildew on coloured clothes?

Question:What's the best way to rid mould/mildew (baby-safe) from a hot pink lycra/cotton fabric? The fabric is clothes for a baby.
Thank you.

Answers:
Take cascade dishwashing powder and rub it like a paste into the moldy part of the clothing. Make sure the detergent doesn't contain bleach. (cascade has one kind that does) Rub it in with a oothbrush ad wash in hot water. It should get out the mold pretty easily. It also works great for the baby drool spots babies tend to get around the collars of their shirts. It's totally safe to use on the baby clothing.

The real question is... why is there mold on your baby's clothing?
I agree with the previous poster, why is there mold and mildew on your baby clothes. I'd throw them out and go buy new clothes.

eww heebie jeebies
Oh for heaven's sakes...for those people above me...any time something wet (like a washcloth) gets set on clothing and sits for a day or two, there's a chance for mildew and mold. Get over yourselves!

As for an answer...try soaking it in Coke. Honest, it might work!

I found a site that suggested: Mix 1 to 2 tablespoons of a powdered non-chlorine bleach containing sodium perborate or potassium monopersulfate with one pint of water. Use the water temperature recommended for the fabric or color. Sponge or soak the stain. Let stand 30 minutes or longer; then rinse well. Old stains may need to soak overnight.
