Mothball odor?
Question:how does one remove the mothball odor from a rv fifth wheel?
Answers:
Fresh air and sunshine. Open all the windows and take it for a drive. The longer it's open, the more it will dissipate.
The stuff that it is made of is volatile so with time it will dissipate on its own, the more you air it out, the faster it goes.
Leave it be, it will go away, but it takes a very long time. Don't try to mask it with nothing else. It will only intensify the smell.
Ususally with moth ball odor, fresh air will do it. If it won't go away however, you could try this stuff called Approach. It's a natural odor eliminator so it won't cover it up and it won't add chemicals to the air. Can spray the air, the tire and the RV storage area for it.
If the moth balls have been there for a prolonged period the odor may have leeched into the rubber of the tire, in which case it's just going to be there, but you can try spraying the tire and seeing if that helps.
Good luck!
