Will '409' or the 'Magic Eraser' clean a mirror like Windex would?
Question:will it mess up the mirror like hairspray would?
Will it clean as well as Windex would?
( 409 is a cleaner in a bottle).

no magic eraser, it is baking soda and will streak.
use vinegar/water mixed to clean.
if you get a small hand held steamer and fire it up, you will never use chemicals ever again. just spray the steam on and watch it melt whatever is on the window away.
I get great results with hydrogen peroxide spray. Mix equal parts of water and peroxide and spray it on the mirror just like windex.
Windex is ammonia and water. 409 is a degrease. It won't hurt it but better to use ammonia on glass stuff. Use newspaper to make the final wipes to remove any streaking.
Try using white vinegar. I swear by it.
Don't use chemicals are to harsh for your mirror. If you continue use a fuzzy haze will appear on your mirror then you will have to replace it.
