Please, when asking a question, give details. ie. my son had an inkpen break in his shirt pocket, etc.
Generally if it is in cotton or poly you can put a prewash stain stick on it (if it is not too bad) and then wash it. Just make sure to check stain before throwing it in the dryer.
If it is on your furniture, you will want to use a cleaner that specifically cleans ink (most upholstry cleaners address this).
If on leather, go to a leather store (ASAP) and buy a stick of ink dissipator, and get it right on there.
Generally with ink, the quicker you act the more success you will have getting the stain out.

To answer this question, I need info about the material the ink stain is on and info about the kind of ink causing the stain.
You can apply hair spray to the clothing then launder as usual
