Just brought NEW mattress. found out it was infested with bed bugs is it safe to keep wooden bed frame?

Question:

Answers:
I would definitely call the store and let them know. Tell them you are going to return the bed or the must pay for the extermination. If they do not. Use bug bombs and sweep the mattress thoroughly.

Bed bugs love wooden frame. You need iron/steel one.
You should be fine, just kill the bugs. Search on the web to find a bug killer
I wouldn't. Bedbugs can hide in the cracks and seams of wooden furniture including bed frames and dressers. Here's some helpful information on the little buggers...

EWWW. Take the mattress back.. If you bought them new bed bugs shouldn't be there...However, if you must keep them.. Take the mattresses outside and wrap them in plastic sheeting like a present.. You can cut a few contractor plastic bags and secure with duct tape.. Leave out in the sun all day... That should kill them... Sprinkle the beds with baking soda and vacuum throughly... Buy mattress cover that seals the whole mattress top/bottom.. I would also get a waterproof washable pad as well... Good luck
