Does anyone know how to get old stains out of carpet?
Question:My 5 year old son must have got pass me with his strawberry milk when we were taking a nap about 3 or 4 months ago, because there is a big strawberry milk stain in his room on the carpet. He hide it under his big remote controll car. I wish he would have told me so i could have gotten it up. So if anyone out there no how to get old stains out of carpet please let me know. Its time for me to move and i dont want them to take my deposit for new carpet in his room because of one stain.

The only way out of that one is to clean the carpet RIGHT BEFORE YOU MOVE. Stains like that will come back after the carpet and padding have time to dry. About a week or two and it will be back. Maybe not as dark but it will be back.
I have had luck in the past cleaning a colored carpet which was heavily stained & soiled with a mixture of laundry detergent, Chlorine bleach & OxyClean powder. In a minimal dilution, the bleach will not affect color or dye in the carpet - but should eliminate the stain. Good Luck!
