How can I remove the chlorine smell from a bathing suit?

Question:What is the best way to remove the chlorine smell from a bathing suit that smells? This isn't a recently used bathing suit either, but one that smells from past uses.

Thanks!

Answers:
Usually when you clean your bathing suit in the laundry it will take the smell out of it. But if the smell stays in the suit- when you wash it add a half cup of backing soda to the laundry and that will take the smell out of your suit. (Backing soda is a natural odor elemator and it cost next to nothing.)

i would put it in the wash as normal, then soak it in hot water and washing powder over night and wash it again, that should get rid of the smell. although i don't see the point, it will just get smelly again when you use it!!
I think if you just hang it in the sun the sun will breakdown the chlorine after washing.
I hand wash all my bathing suits and then soak in cold water with a splash, 1/8 teaspoon or so, of vinegar. I let it soak at least an hour and then let dry, wrong side out, in the sun. Works for me!
I have this stuff call "SuitSolutions" - it's swimsuit cleaner. works magic :) it also gets out the "beach" smell. i bought it at a sporting goods store, such as Dick's.
