What is the best adhesive to use when trying to adhere indoor/outdoor carpet to an aluminum boat hull?

Question:I recently purchased some indoor/outdoor carpet for a 12 foot aluminum(Jonboat) that I am restoring. I'm trying to find the best adhesive to adhere it to the inside of the boat, of course I need to use something that is waterproof. Anyone know what i can use?

In Home Depot I have bought this great plumbers glue called GOOP. It totally tolerates wetness. I have used a touch of it on children's clothes to glue on a flower or design.

But On my front porch I always used Rubber cement around the edges to keep the outdoor carpeting down. It worked well for years.
