Hot iron, brown paper. End of wax.
The stain may have soaked into the paint. In that case you might need to repaint the spot. You can try taking a paper towel and your clothes iron. Iron over the paper towel. It will remove any of the wax that might be left and might lift the stain. When you are sure there is no more wax you could try a little Ajax or Comet (provided it's a white wall.)
Pure turps is the solvent for wax.

Use methylated spirit it is used in engineering for degreasing/dewaxing machine parts.Use soft cloth or cotton wool dab until removed then wipe the area with a mild detergent and rinse with cold water.

ice cube rub up and down with cloth to absorb the water then when you have froze it it will com off no pr obs.
Hold a bag of ice cube on it until it rock hard then it should pick off cleanly
