How do you get gum off a pair of sunglasses?
Question:I've used nail polish remover, bleach, scrubing...is there something that will break it down?
Answers:
Boil some water and then submerge the gummed area for a few seconds at a time. Test the gum frequently to see if it is beginning to soften. Eventually it will melt and only require a light srubbing to finish removing the residue.
put them in the freezer.
the gum goes solid and cracks off
put them in the freezer for a few hours and then scrape it off
You could always go buy some "goo gone" it's oil based and will get out any sticky mess...especially off of plastic or metal. or you can use ice to harden it then peel it off.
Ice. The freezer is fine, but not too long.
LIke the one poster said...freezing should work, if not you can t ry WD40 it is supposed to do everything but the laundry.
Spray a little Pam or a drop or two of oil on the gum. For some reason oil will release the sticky. This is the same as using we40, they are both oil.
They make a product called Goo Gone, it takes off all adhesives and gum.
or you could try rubbing them with peanut butter or mayonaise, the oils will help break down the gum, but it may leave some residue that you should be able to remove with liquid dish soap.
Goo gone should take it off. Give that a try.
try using cooking oil or hand lotion.. I know that it takes sticker glue off of things...
spray a little w.d.forty then clan with soap and water or windex
