Any tips for removing mould from leather?
Question:Leather shoes or belt? My room is very damp and since I have alot of shoes that I don't wear, they tend to have mould/fungus buildup. I tried removing them and also applying polish/wax but they still grow up. Any permenent solution?

SAS shoes has a shoe insert that keeps moisture out of them, i want to say that they are less than $20 , hope that helps.
Dude, that is super unhealthy! Breathing mold spores is bad news. You need to dry your space out an maybe spray some lysol around on the floor where you keep your shoes. Letting them air out after taking them off is key. Unfortunately, mold in leather does irreversible surface damage. You may need to get rid of anything moldy, because it will continue to grow more. Hope this helps.
If you want to slow or stop the mold get a dehumidifier. Mold needs moisture to grow.
place packets of silica gel inside your shoes and in the cupboard used for storing shoes. Use Napthalene balls to drive away the bad odour. Packets of silica gel would help you in long run.
You need a specialist mold killer for leather which will kill the spores permanently. If you do not do this it will simply keep coming back.

I hate to say it but there may be no hope depending on how bad the mold is. I am allergic to mold and if anything that has or has ever had mold comes into the house, it makes me sick. thus far the only luck ive ever had really getting rid of it has been bleach. only bleach. but that might ruin your leather. maybe clorox wipes?
