How do you get ride of the stinky smell in sneakers?
Question:
Answers:
i use Gold Bond Body Powder
it says its for the body but it works excellent on shoes as well
it gives them a minty scent
put the power in right before your about to wear them
Febreeze
Don't wear them every day because that doesn't help. If you have to wear sneaks every day get two pairs and alternate. To remove the smell, sprinkle bicarbonate of soda or powdered charcoal inside, leave overnight and then just shake out in the morning. It's the same stuff that's in odor eaters and much much cheaper.
it shud just wear away after a week or two. its not dat bad is it
well just wash them and if it doesnt works then just buy new shoes simple
#1. - Dr Scholl's Odor Eater's
#2. - Start wearing socks (& NEVER go bare foot in sneakers!)
#3. - Throw them away & get a new pair
baby powder in them every day...wear socks and spray with febreeze..daily
Stick them in the freezer. Depends on how stinky, but freezing will sometimes get rid of the odor.
baking soda. just put some in there overnight and dump it out in the morning
In the movie "Holes" they used Peaches and Onions. I have not tried it because my sneakers don't smell. When I come across a smelly pair I am honestly going to try it.
I do know how to avoid smelly sneakers. Stop wearing sneakers with no socks. The sweat that your socks are supposed to absorb goes into the sneakers when you don't wear socks. If the Peaches and Onions don't work, try Febreze.
All your answers are great, but here's one you didn't get yet.
Put some Hydrogen Peroxide (H2O2) in a squirt bottle full strength and squirt into your shoe. It is a great deodorizer. You can also use it to clean your bathroom tile. Just don't squirt it into your face or eyes, it might sting, but won't harm you. Some people inhale the mist of H2O2 for lung problems or squirt their bodies down after showers for invigorment..
I always spray a little rubbing alcohol in mine after I take them off. Not too much or it will dissolve the glue. Just enough to kill germs that cause odor. Spray it on clean feet too before putting your socks and shoes on. Use powder on your feet.
Throw them in your washer, then spray the insides of them with febreze
