What temp should you rinse laundry in to get out detergent residue?

Question:Should you rinse in cold or warm? I don't have an option to rinse in hot on my machine. Also I have been told to add some vinegar to the rinse to help get rid of residue. Does this work?

Answers:
I would the clothes in a tub of hot water then rewash in warm water without detergent. While your clothes are soaking, I would run the machine with vinegar in in warm water. If your clothes have residue then so does your machine. Once you get your clothes cleaned, I would switch detergent. Less expensive detergents don't clean appropriately, they just leave a nasty residue. You don't need to get Tide but something along those lines would be your best bet.

..or you could just rinse it again
warm

it will dissolve the soap better
warm, cold will do not good.
the hotter the better and vinegar will work but can have other unpleasant results like odor - if you have a problem then you are using too much detergent or you are confusing the scent with the soap - try an unscented detergent
Yes cold water and vinegar will do the trick for you...
cold...always rinse in cold...and if your washer has the setting, use "extra rinse" so that you're sure that everything was rinsed out.
