How do i get food stains out of babies clothes?

Question:My 7 month old daughter is a messy eater and unless i strip her naked at every feed she manages to get her food on her clothes and bibs.
Most of her clothes are white or pink and some of her gorgeous outfits are ruined because i can't get the orange stains out. I've tried taking them straight off and popping them to soak overnight in persil then washing with non bio and a bit of vanish but it doesnt work. Any tips before throwing them all out and buying only dark boys clothes lol ?

My daughter was the same. I found that soaking them in cold water first, then adding salt, like you do when you have blood stains on clothes. This lifted out most of the stains. Then use the could old fashioned soap bar , give the stain a good rub, leaving the clothes free from water, depending how bad the stain say 1/2 hr. But as I said most of the stains came out using the salt. So after 1/2hr or less, pop back to cold water , remove from water , rub more soap. This time leaving the soap on pop into your machine on a 40Âșc wash. Hang the clothes outside in the sun, the sun will do the rest of the work for you, by bleaching out any remaining stains , the natural way

Try putting a scoop of vanish oxi action in with the wash, i've done that since my little boy was born (13months) and have to say its great for getting those horrible orange stains out! Hope that helps!
Rub in a bit of washing up liquid with warm water into the stain before you put the clothes in the washing machine - works a treat. It works best with fresh stains though, once the clothes have been washed in the machine the stain sets and becomes harder to get out.
First of all, think about stripping her down to a onesie, when eating. Pretreat stains immediately. Add some dish detergent to the wash 1/4 c. Try oxyclean. When you are out, take a tide pen. Those things are awesome!
I soak my grandaughter`s stained clothes in Bio Tex for a while then wash as normal its never let me down yet
do not feed her tomatoes they stain?
other than that use SURF with the adative ?
at least she is clean1
I use clorox bleach pens on the stains on white that the shout gel stain remover didn't get, and wash again, don't dry it without washing it again or they won't come out.
Ace bleach works for me!
On QVC you can buy a thing calles Stains r out, its banana oil. You put it on the stains before you wash the clothes and it really works, Ive tried it even curry and spagbol stains come out!
When my children were little I used to use Vanish Soap Bar which worked pretty well, bibs and things I put in a weak solution of Milton which works pretty well as well.
Now that they are older and still pretty messy I tend to put Fairy washing up liquid on any stains and this I think is probably the best, they nearly always come out, you just put a splash on the stain rub it in a bit and then chuck it in the machine as normal. Hope this helps
Hi Maria,
I remember those days of food everywhere well!!

I ues Vanish pre wash stain remover. spray the stained areas 10 mins b4 washing. I also add Vanish In-Wash liquid to the detergent drawer.. and although it's not too environmentally friendly, I'd wash the clothes at the hottest temperature they can withstand.

The other thing that I found helped, was buying long sleeved, neck fastening bibs(in a dark, bright colours !!). I bought large sizes so they weren't too tight over clothes. John Lewis used to sell them.
Hope this helps you xx
