Cleaning the WHOLE house??

Question:My mother's Birthday is coming up, and I want to really clean the whole house, What should I do ( cleaning wise) ??

Answers:
Do deep cleaning that doesn't get done as often as it should. Like, mopping all the floors. You could clean all the baseboards, vacuum all the floors (especially in the corners, high and low), wash the windows inside and out, clean out and organize the pantry, clean out and organize the fridge and freezer, wash the rugs (according to directions) and wash all linens and window treatments, if they are washable. Any effort you put forth would be greatly appreciated by your mom - trust me!!

you should clean up her room, living room, kitchen, all bathrooms, and clean it sick-and-span
Dust all surfaces, vacuum all flooring, mop all tiles, clean toilets, sinks and bathtubs/showers with Soft scrub (but not brass faucets), empty the trash, Windex the mirrors and pictures (don't get it on the frames), clean baseboard tops, get fingerprints off doors and walls, change the sheets, do the laundry. That would make me happy. Or, get a maid service for a one time cleaning. What a nice gesture! WOW! I just read peppermint's advice. Do you do all that every week? It'd take me a week to get all my clothes and shoes out of my walk in closet to clean the shelves. And move the stove and fridge? You are just too energetic. That's a once a year project for me! That may be a little overwhelming for a kid to do (and me, too)
Every nook and crannie in the bathroom that she and your guests will be using.

Clean your kitchen, especially the stove, oven, and refrigerator.

Clean up any clutter in your living room, dining room, and wherever your mom will be sleeping. Put clean sheets on the bed, and wash the blankets.

Dust everything, vacuum your floors, mop your hard surfaces,

And when your done, you can come to my house :-)
When I do a thorough cleaning, I take everything out of the closets and wipe the shelves and put everything neatly back. Same for the kitchen cabinets. Vacuum, sweep, and mop the whole house. Dust everything from furniture to wall hangings. Wash the bed sheets, blinds, and curtains, and windows. Wipe down stove and clean microwave. Wipe inside of the refrigerator and arrange everything neatly. Fold clothes and wash dishes. Wipe down outside of cabinets in kitchen and table and chairs. Move kitchen appliances and wipe behind them (stove, fridge, etc.). Vacuum couch cushions. Wipe down entertainment center and organize videos. Clean bathroom thoroughly. Clean the toilet, inside of the bathtub, wipe mirrors, and clean sink. That should cover it. Good Luck! I would clean room by room, that way you can see what you accomplished.
clean one room at a time. Do not leave a room till it is spotless.
