How to wash oil stain on a satin dress?
Question:Send in to laundry shop -> choose normal wash or dry wash?
Answers:
Satin Care and Cleaning
Before attempting to wash satin items, check the label for cleaning instructions. Most satin is dry-clean only. Silk satin can be handwashed in ice-cold water with mild soap. Satin made from acetate should be washed in warm water with liquid detergent or mild soap flakes. Dunk the garment in the water until the stain is gone. Rinse twice, then drip-dry. Crepe satin should be washed in warm water with mild liquid detergent using the same method.Good Luck! =)
409 is great at getting out oil stains, but satin is a delicate fabric that will require an experts touch. i would take it to the dry cleaners. eight dollars for cleaning is way cheaper than replacing the garment.
That's easy. First you need to evenly soak the whole dress in the same or similar oil. Then when you clean it the spot won't show..
you can use , less oil or lest oil. i cant think of the exact name! argg! its something like that , lest oil, if you go to the store im sure someone will know what you want.
anyway we had a candle in the bedroom big 3 wick one, and it spilled all over our sheets and blanket, i got most the way up with an iron and paper towles but there was still a big stain from the sented oil in the wax, i soaked it in that stuff and washed it, came right out.
