Which is more eco friendly a twin tub or an automatic?

can any one tell me which is the better type of washing maching for the enviroment ie which uses the lowest water and electricity

Answers:    i would say automatic,the spanking new ones adjust the amount of water to the weight of the mop up plus you can choose your cycle time etc,from my experience twin tubs are not energy efficient and time consuming
