I can suggest you use a little of your own dish washing liquid, or your own hair shampoo, these 2 thing´s will remove the stain . Use warm water ans a sponge, work inwards of the stain , this way you wont spread the stain further. Once you have removed the stain& rinse the soap, next thing to do is this. Lay a towel with a heavy object on top off the wet patch. This will help dry up any remaining water from the underside of your carpet, leave like this over night ,then allow to dry with natural air. You may find this area will need to be steam cleaned at a later date , as sooner or later the water mark always reaches the surface
there is something better than carpet cleaner, it's called Thunder Blast. Get it at Freds or most Dollar stores. Greased Lightning works great too... you can buy it at walmart...
Resolve is the best brand of carpet cleaner.
My wife uses peroxide and water mixed. Believe it or not, the best carpet cleaner I have found is Tuff Stuff. It is in automotive.
