I washed/dryed my feather pillow and it now smells horrible - any way to get the smell out?

Question:

your not supposed to wash and dry anything with feathers but you should wash it again...and put it in the dryer for a very very long time to make sure everything is dry. it takes a long time for the feathers to dry...and if you dont want the feathers to clump up you can put a few clean/new tennis balls in with them to make them not clump.

It needs a good long soak and then washing. I put mine in the dryer forever to make sure they get completely dry. if they dont soak first, it just makes them musty.
Wash it again & double up on the downy. Over dry with dryer sheets, & spray with febreeze.
Rewash it, and this time when it comes to rinsing it, add 2 cups of white vinegar, this will remove the odor, when you dry it make sure it is completely dried, if not this maybe why it is smelling.
Fill your bathtub with hot water then add some laundry detergeant.

Leave to soak for a few hours and then put the pillow in the dryer until dry.

If you hang it on the line, it isnt likely to dry all in a day and if left over night, the musky smell will come back.

Luck!
