Answers:
All you need is 3M Pads, Pinsol, Bleach, Soft Scrub, and some good old elbow grease. Sink, counters, toilets, and tubs. Then Windex counters and all water fixtures. Twice a week and everything will sparkle.

when cleaning your bathroom, no need to use 30 different kinds of products. just use ordinary window clean (ex. windex) and use that for multiple purposes. Toilet, sink, bathtub, counter, mirror, window, floor. And also you don't need to waste paper towels, just fold the paper towel into quarters, and use each square for different parts, like one side for the countertop, then the other for the floors.etc... It saves a whole lotta time and is very easy to use!
I use a product found at Home Depot called Zep.a big galolon is 6 bucks and it cleans. Just let it sit on dirt for 5 min and wipe.
The best thing I like to clean with is MEAN GREEN- it cleans everything! It has bleach in it- so be careful not to get it on your clothes, etc. I use it to clean the kitchen, the fridge, the bathroom, cabinets, etc! I even spray it on my tile floor- then mop! You have to rinse it it though. I like THE WORKS toilet bowl cleaner- not a great smell- but cleans it good! Got to have BLEACH! I add it to my dishwater when I do dishes and I put some in the dishwasher too. And when your house is all clean- you feel better, too! I also put some cinnammon & cloves in a small pot of water to simmer on the stove. makes the house smell good. Or you can put any kind of 'oils' in the water to you taste.
HMM, some personal cleaning tricks.

When I get curry/chilli on my top, I use detergent meant for dishes and wash the area stained. This detergent contains enzymes which can clear up the stain.

When cleaning microwave/oily surfaces, rub lemon juice around and then use soap to do a final through clean up. Lemon contains a strong acid naturally and kills bacteria.

Pour bleach down the toilet bowl if you want to kill germs

Mop your floor with bleach to kill germs and then mop again with soap and water to esure that it smells better.
First, anything you do will just push dust around. Using the swiffer dusters works good for touch up cleaning, but every now and then you NEED to vacuum EVERYTHING to trap the dust and get it out of there.

When cleaning the kitchen, clean everything. Most people forget / ignore the top of the frig and it gets nasty. Clean the sink. Too many people think that sinks are rinsed daily so stay clean - couldn't be further from the truth. Also clean the burner drip ans (if you have electric) regularly. Lift the stovetop and clean underneath.

When cleaning bathrooms, do not assume that Windex-type cleaners clean things. They will remove spots, but not germs. In order to have a truly clean bathroom you need to use a disinfecting cleaner. My personal favorite is Soft Scrub with bleach. Note, to properly disinfect you need to clean it first - THEN reapply and let stand for 10 minutes. I usually do this only for toilet seats and shower floors. After you clean everything w/ the Soft Scrub, then use the glass cleaner to get a spot free shine on everything.

Make sure to clean doorknobs. When you touch things with dirty hands they get junky. Not enough people clean their doorknobs.

A few times a year you need to pull your appliances and clean behind them. More often if you have pets. If no pets twice a year is probably sufficient. Laundry machines especially - lint from the dryer makes that room a mess.
I have over the span of my life, cleaning my own home, have used many many different products. I have talked to several people and friends and used various things suggested to me. BUT I have recently found that warm water and white vinegar make for the best cleaning agent.

I use the solution to spray in my bath/shower area after use. I use the solution on my floors when washing them and the solution cuts right through the grease and dirt leaving them sparkling clean. I use it for cleaning off my kitchen cupboards and appliances. It is a rather inexpensive and good cleaning trick I have JUST learned in my aging process.

For cleaning of wood furniture I have found that a cloth sprayed with a polish of choice is the best form of picking up dust and not spreading it around and it puts a finish on the furniture. We have several old furniture pieces and at various times have had to store furniture and found that with the protection of a good coat of the furniture polish and the regular dusting we do it keeps our furniture looking great.

In the laundry area I have found the white vinegar to work well in refreshing loads of wash. If I am adding anything to my wash and it is not the white vinegar I will use Oxi Clean. It keeps clothes looking great also and takes out many stains. Be sure to spray stains as soon as takign the clothes off even if they aren't washed right away. A good vacume of the carpets also keeps down the dust in your house and off furniture.

Happy Housecleaning.
I find the self help books like Tips from Heloise have the best answers for your type of questions. No doubt my mother's old housewife ways from the early 1900's REALLY did work. My mom used to put part vinegar (I can't remember) in an empty wash cycle. Its in the Heloise book. Good luck.
I use a bathroom foam cleaner in the bathroom DAILY to keep it clean. For stains or build up that doesn't get off, I use "the works" products for bathrooms. For the kitchen, I use Spi c-N-Span in hot water for everything except the dishes. I clean the sink by pouring a little bleach on my dish cloth and wiping it around, this also keeps the dish cloth sanitary. For the living area, vacuum often AFTER dusting with a treated cloth. Put things away every day to keep the clutter down. For the bedroom, I wash the sheets 2-3 times a week and vacuum the mattress to prevent getting bed bugs. Every day before I go to bed, I spend about 1/2 hour putting things away that got left out. That way, if I get a surprise visit from a friend, the house looks neat. To keep a fresh smell, set about a 1/4 cup of baking soda dry in a bowl on the kitchen counter and if someone comes over, just hide it in a corner or something. Your house will stay fresh smelling. Change the baking soda at least once a week.
i use windex on pretty much any thing that can get wet it shines it up helps with dusting or vinegar on floors even wood and clean bathroom with it to shiney -shiney. take section by section the area you clean
Ok, first, if you're cleaning a room like say the kitchen or a bathroom that has counters, clean the counters first. what i usually do is spray the counters with a bleach cleaner and use paper towels to wipe it up. that way if anything falls on the floor like crumbs or hair, it's no big deal, you can clean that up when you get around to sweeping or mopping.
for stove splash pans that are dirty, just fill your sink with hot water and soap or oxyclean (oxyclean is awesome) and let them soak. the grime should easily rinse off. the easiest thing to do if you're overwhelmed is just do one room at a time. play some music and get in the cleaning zone. i usually will start a load of laundry and then start cleaning the rest of the house so you can get more than one thing done at a time. also if you have fewer possesions, then cleaning them up is easier. i suggest going through your stuff and getting rid of things you don't need and making a trip to goodwill. I would go to the dollar store or dollar general and get your cleaning products there. They're cheaper, do just as good of a job as anything else and you won't feel as guilty about tossing things like rubber gloves or scrubbers after a particularly dirty job. Swiffer products and febreze are really convenient and i wouldn't be able to live without plegde dusting spray. Hope this helps!
it really depends on what you are cleaning if it is bathrooms i use comet and bleach. also i clean the kitchen with comet and 409. dishes with dawn, move things around when i vacume to get dirt underneath the furniture, dust furniture with pledge, you really just have to get started somewhere and work your way around the house, i like to do it with music because it motivates me, cause sometimes i'm not real motivated
TOOTHPASTE. This will clean and whiten many house hold items appliances and yes even the kool aide lips that are left on the kids mouths.
Basic vinagar and lemon cleaners are pretty much the everyday deep cleaners. Good Luck
First buy one or two of the microfiber cleaning cloths. They are marvelous. I use Basic H, a Shaklee product to clean. You can use it on everything, dirt breaks up faster and only a few drops are needed each time.
Fabuloso is great for all the cleaning. You can also put in a spray bottle add water and you will have a great deodorizer. I like Passion of Fruits better, nice clean smell. You can get it at Dollar General, Family Dollar and of course Walmat.
I recommend a little book called "Speed Cleaning" by Jeff Campbell. It's full of tips and techniques to help you clean quickly and efficiently, without wasted effort.
