How do I remove cat urine odor from a wool coat?

First, either get rid of the cat-stop leaving your coat lying around or lock the closet door because your cat is 'peeing' in the wrong spot. Pardon the pun. In any event, I've used this method on heavily soiled carpets where the pet has almost destroyed the fabric, with total success. It may be difficult to follow this exactly, with an expensive wool coat so use caution.
Using a mist type sprayer, saturate the outside area with a solution of white vinegar and water ( perhaps 2/3rds water & 1/3rd vinegar...not cider or wine vinegar). Then, on the lining inside, lightly (especially if it is silk) spray with a deoderizer such as Fabreeze and then hang in an area that is sure to get the most direct sunlight. The best bet is to hang it outside where it can also benefit from fresh air. I don't recommend an area under a tree or with any type of perch above. If the birds get ahold to it, you've got a new set of circumstances to deal with. At the end of the day, placfe the garmet in the dryer and tumble for a few minutes ( perhaps 10 - 15 minutes on medium heat). Depending on the sex of the animal, this should do the trick. Check the coat the following morning and if it remains (probably a male cat) repeat the process and before placing it in the dryer that evening, saturate the outside area with the deoderizer and leave in the dryer 15 - 20 minutes.

Spray it very lightly with vinegar and leave it outside in the sun for about 2 hours...do this for about 3 or 4 days in a row.no more stink.

Cat urine odor is really hard to remove. You can try to buy products from pets stores. That would help. Letting the coat set out in the sun will also help. But you might never remove the smell completely...
