Question:will my washing machine still wash if only cold water goes into the drum? i had to turn off the hot water because the valve is leaking.

I've turned the hot water off to my machine many times, because of a small hot water tank and if i washed one or 2 loads of clothes it could be as early as 6 am and go to take a shower at 2pm i still wouldnt have no hot water so i just shut the hotwater off to my washer completly and my washer still worked, but just to save time and any possiable problems set all ur dials to cold water
