How do you get irn-bru stains out of carpets?
Question:I have quite a few irn-bru stains on the living room carpet and nothing will budge them. I have tried Vanish, good old elbow grease and I now have hired a carpet shampooer which also isn't getting them out. I am going to get charged if I can't get them out so any advice would be great. Thanks.

You could try bicarbonate of soda. I use it for carpet stains, though I dont know if it will work on old stains, but its worth a go..
First put water on the stain, make sure the area is nice and wet. Then pour bicarbonate of soda all over it, rub it down into the carpet a bit.
leave to dry totally for 24 hours.
Once its dry vacuum it up.
The bicarb should soak up the stain long with the water.
Try using white wine, White wine removes red wine stains & dark colored fruit juice, Pour a little over the stain , leave for a few min“s. Now blot with kitchen paper, use a cold water sponge to wipe. You can use some of your own hair shampoo to clean the carpet, it works just as good on fabric , and carpets. Rinse well again with cold water. Lay a towel with a heavy object on top , this will help soak up any remaining water from the underside of your carpet. You might find this area of the carpet will have to be steam cleaned at a later date , as sooner or later the water mark always reaches the surface
