How do you clean a shower curtain liner?

Question:the plastic kind...rather thin, sometimes has 'magnets' to hold it to the inside of the tub...can you toss those in a washing machine with cool water and detergent? thanks!

Answers:
You can wash them in the washer however they are cheap enough that you could just buy a new one. I have seen them at the dollar store.

yep. i wash mine in the washing machine, set it on warm water, add detergent and a splash of bleach. they come out white as new.
run in the dryer for 15 minutes or so, but be careful taking it out of the washer, as the water pools in it.
I always use an sos pad and scrub it on a flat surface
Into the washing machine with warm or hot sudsy water and bleach. This gets rid of mildew and scum, however, don't let it spin. This might tear the liner. I would rinse it by hand in the tub, let it drip dry and then hang it up again.
Use warm water otherwise the cold water will make it crack. Learned this from experience. You can use vinegar to clean it in a spray bottle too.
Wash it in the washing machine on a gentle cycle. Be sure to soak it for about 30 minutes in the machine before starting the wash. Once completely washed, let dry outside. Spray it down with Tilex before rehanging it and allow it to dry. This will keep it from mildewing in the future.
Yep that is what I have to do.
I don't really know but I bet you can put it in the washer with TSP and it will come out clean. TSP is what is used to clean hard water spots and stains (among other things I'm sure). Just ask for it at a hardware store like Orchard Supply or Home Depot. It will be in the plumbing dept. They'll know what it is.
Don't use cool water... use warm. Cool water will tend to make it crack and break. Put some bleach in the water too to kill any mildew. But why bother. for a buck you can get a new one at the dollar store. fresh and clean too.
I wash them all the time in the washer. I use hot water and always put a couple of towels in with it. This way you get the rubbing action that really gets it clean. I never dry mine, just hang it right back up. It'll look good as new.
I have had very good success with simply throwing it in the washer on warm and adding a towel. I add a little bleach with the detergent.

When done hang it to dry or just put it back on the shower rod and it will dry out there
I've tossed one in the machine with a load of white towels on a warm setting and added a cup of bleach. Works fine! Shake it and hang it right back up. Wrinkles fall out.
i put mine in the washer about once a month in hot water and laundry soap comes out looking brand new
Throw it away! They cost about $5 at the dollar store.
