What brand of iron should i purchase?

Question:i've gone through atleast one iron a year. one i brought last summer just went bad last night. first it start to smells bad, like it's burning. then it starts to spit out brown liquid and it smells burnt. so what type/brand/price range of iron should i purchase? need to get it today cuz wifey cant go another day without it. thank you all in advance.

It doesnt sound like it went out, It just sound like it needed to be cleaned out. Do you ever clean them out inside? Try pouring vinegar the water holder and turn the iron on high let all the vinegar steam out. this should clean the iron, you will need to wipe the iron as it steams out all the brown gunk. once it is done I would do this again with plain water and you should be ready to iron again. if not I would buy and iron with a warrenty because you go threw them so fast. Try a black and decker.
